Bringing it back
to my roots
My earliest memories are of my family’s frequent visits to Bavaria. As a kid, food experiences were central to my memories: weekend mornings eating fresh Weisswurst from the local butcher; Leberknodlesuppe on a cold rainy night in Munich, fall-off-the-bone Schweinshaxe after the steep climb to Andechs Monastery; and the enormous beer halls where we enjoyed pretzels and wursts and steins of Spezi.
At home in the States, my family life revolved around food: much of what we ate we raised in the barnyard or grew in the garden. I learned how to cook using the whole kitchen and whole ingredients. And I passed my mom’s garden test every year!
I hope I can use my love of cooking to bring these memories to life and bring delicious German-Inspired cuisine to you! Prost!
